If you are looking to announce a newsworthy feature about your business, then the team at Kiss Digital can find an angle and strategically construct a press release that we will send out to the top media outlets in New Zealand.
An example of press releases produced by Kiss Digital include that for Christcurch business, DivorceMe. DivorceMe is one-of-a-kind in New Zealand; and it allows those reaching their two-years of separation to complete their divorce online.
The DivroceMe duo decided to launch their website on Valentine’s Day which fell on a Monday.
We wrote an intriguing and interesting Press Release that caught the attention of major media organizations including TV3,
TV1, RadioWorks and Christchurch’s biggest local newspaper, The Press.
Kiss Digital released DivorceMe’s first press release on the Friday prior to Valentine’s Day. The initial press release was to-the-point, but didn’t give away too much information.
This meant the second release (that was to be released the day before the launch) would be more enticing for media to latch on to.
Although the first press release didn’t go into a lot of detail, it caught the media’s attention and on the day of the first press release, DivorceMe received a phone call from The Press who put a story on the front page of their biggest newspaper, the weekend edition.
The second press release was sent out on Sunday evening, which meant it had a good chance of catching the media’s eye for Monday’s news.
At 7am, DivorceMe featured on TV One’s breakfast news which has the largest following of any breakfast TV show in New Zealand.
This was followed by an on-air interview with Marcus Lush on his RadioLive news show – another show with a big following.
TV3 were the next to respond to the press release and they went to the DivorceMe offices to film a news piece to feature on their 6 o’clock news. The news was a success and it featured in third place on the news headlines.
Various RadioLive interviews followed as well as an interview with Solid Gold.
The press releases were a real hit and got the company off to the winning start they needed. DivorceMe’s marketing ploy and exposure via press release saw the website have a staggering 150,000 hits and 60 Kiwis signing themselves up to the website – and this was on the first day alone.
